The 2026 Library Marketing and Communications Conference (LMCC) Programming Committee invites you to submit presentation proposals for consideration for this year’s conference, which will be held in St. Louis on November 11-12, 2026.

The Library Marketing and Communications Conference (LMCC) is a one-of-a-kind annual event dedicated to library marketing and communications professionals. Spanning two days and featuring more than 30 presentations by knowledgeable speakers, two keynote sessions, and ample networking opportunities, LMCC provides practitioners with numerous opportunities to connect, teach, commiserate, and learn.

LMCC offers a vibrant community designed by and for library employees of any level who are involved in marketing, communication, public relations, social media, and outreach in academic, public, and special libraries. Attendees value LMCC’s opportunity to share ideas, build community, and network with others in their field. LMCC also organizes fun activities like dine-arounds at local restaurants, a “Swag Swap” for showcasing marketing materials, and opportunities to make new professional contacts and friends.

Presentation Proposals: We are looking for presentation speakers with demonstrated professional experience who can share their knowledge and best practices and discuss the strategy, actions, and results of their marketing and communications work.

Roundtable Discussions: We are also looking for roundtable discussions (leading a facilitated discussion with key topics, context, and takeaways). These will be discussions only, with no presentation necessary and no AV available.

Successful proposals will provide practical takeaways that can be immediately applied to any library’s communications and marketing efforts. Accepted presentations will address topics that ideally apply to a variety of library types and sizes and could be scaled to work for library marketing staff and teams that are full-time, part-time, and everything in between.

We welcome all proposals for consideration. Possible perennial topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Marketing and communications, with an emphasis on key themes:

    • Communications / PR / Media relations

    • Strategy / Research / Planning / Assessment

    • Workflow management

    • Staff buy-in / Internal support

  • Topics for beginner, intermediate or advanced audiences

We welcome proposals from individuals or colleagues who want to co-present. We also encourage panel submissions in which speakers share different takes on the same topic. This year, we are especially interested in seeing additional intermediate and advanced level topics.

Speakers should have enough content to fill at least 50 minutes. All sessions are 60 minutes long and should include time for questions and answers. You will be encouraged to share handouts and/or slides with attendees electronically after the conference.

Library vendors and conference sponsors are welcome to submit a proposal, but must include at least one co-presenter from a library organization. Information must also be relevant to all attendees and not sales-oriented. Sponsors with questions about this policy should contact the LMCG Board at info@lmcconference.org. Library vendors submitting a proposal are encouraged to consider becoming a conference sponsor. LMCC has avariety of sponsorship levels available to bring awareness and engagement to your organization.
